What you need
To connect to our shoutcast servers, you will need the download and install the following:
- Winamp: http://www.winamp.com/
- The SHOUTcast plugin for Winamp: http://yp.shoutcast.com/downloads/shoutcast-dsp-1-9-0-windows.exe
1 Open Winamp.
2 Go to the “Options Menu” and select “Preferences”.
3 Scroll down in the navigation menu, to ‘Plugins’ – then select the ‘DSP/Effect’ from the list.
Now, in the right hand pane, select ‘Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.90 [dsp_sc.dll]’ and click ‘Configure active plugin’ button.
You will be presented with the following window:
Enter the server address in the Address box.
Enter the port in the Port box.
Enter your password in the Password box.
If you wish to be listed on shoutcast.net you must also click on the Yellowpages button and fill in the details for your station.
Then click connect.
Whatever you play will be streamed to your station. You can use voice over if you need by using the input tab.
